Previously an Industrial Electrician, David founded RuralCoast Properties in 2015 after a bad experience trying to find a property for himself in a rural setting. *
David is passionate about photography and videography and is a registered Drone pilot. When he’s not working, he loves to tinker on cars, work on DIY projects and generally get his hands dirty! He also cooks a mean paella and plays padel at the club in Bonalba.
One of the founding members of the Busot Association of Business Owners, David designed the Associations website and logo as well as the new sign and branding of The Salon – Busot’s hairdressers, found opposite the sports hall.
Half French, David was born and raised in Alicante city centre and speaks fluent French and Spanish. He feels very lucky to have been born in such an amazing area of the world and loves living in Busot where he moved to be based closer to the houses that he was selling. He now lives a short walk from our offices that are being built at the Petrol Station with his partner and fellow colleague, Kate, and his dog, Goliath.
Originally from Formby, north Liverpool, Kate has worked in various different real estate, finance and property investment roles since 2005 and speaks fluent French as well as English and Spanish.
Having lived and worked for most of her career in big cities such as Manchester and Paris, the move to Busot was quite a change. Now living in a smaller town suits her perfectly as her favourite things are walking her dog in the open countryside and practicing yoga outdoors with beautiful views of the mountains.
Kate volunteers at the Red Cross in her free time, is a trained counsellor specialising in children’s issues and used to work for the NSPCC Childline Service (a telephone helpline provided free of charge in the UK to children who need someone to talk to).
An advocate for healthy eating; you run the risk of being offered a green smoothie and a sugar-free raw chocolate if you spend too much time in her company. Since moving to Spain she’s managed to pick up the Spanish sport of padel and now prefers it to tennis!
Antonio, born in Belgium to an Italian father and a Luxembourg mother, speaks French and Spanish.Since he loves being outdoors, he loved his previous job as head of garden design and he spent another 10 years of his life driving trams through the streets of Brussels.
During a holiday to Alicante he found the town of Busot and its surroundings and since then he has never left.
He decided to move with his family to Spain 5 years ago leaving his home and work in Belgium, because he fell in love with a town called Busot.
When he bought his house with magnificent mountain views, he knew that he would dedicate himself to selling homes so that his clients could experience the same sensation that he did.
Passionate about things being done right, Antonio helps his clients not only in the purchase or sale of their homes but in making them feel at ease in their new environment. In his spare time, he likes to play paddle tennis, discover new restaurants and above all enjoy billiard games in good company.
Born in the Midlands in the UK, Leanne moved with her parents to the seaside town of Calpe in Spain when she was nine years old. After going straight into the Spanish schooling system without speaking a word of Spanish she finished her primary education, became fluent in Spanish and went on to do a business and finance degree in Benidorm where she met her future husband Germán who was working for Benidorm townhall at the time.
She left Calpe and moved into a small penthouse apartment with Germán in the town of San Juan where she soon found employment working exclusively for the expat community in El Campello.
Soon Leanne and her husband decided that they needed more space and as both of them had grown up in villas with gardens and swimming pools Busot seemed like an ideal place to buy a property and transform it themselves with the help of her father, a civil engineer. They have now been living in the village for over 11 years and love the quiet location and friendly neighbourhood.
In her free time Leanne can be found shopping, at concerts and music festivals and in the gym particularly the spinning classes at the local gym where the instructor Miguel gives a hell of a workout! She loves taking her dog, Panda, out for long walks in the Busot countryside and spending time with her three children; Elsa who is seven and twins Ryan & Joaquim who are three, and who between them ensure that there is never a dull moment!
Tim moved to Alicante after a Management career in the Electrical Wholesale and Lighting sector in the UK to start a new life with his fitness instructor wife, Martine. They bought their own home in Busot in 2020 and moved in just before the Coronavirus lockdown, just in time to enjoy the quarantine in a house with plenty of space, a garden and spectacular views of the mountains and countryside.
Tim also Co-manages The Garden Room Café in El Campello, a trendy café that offers a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a drink, coffee, homemade cake or snack. Meanwhile, Martine has founded an Outdoor Gym and offers locals and expats a unique style of fitness class in English called Bomba Latino. Martine, also runs a Facebook Social Group #Expatladiesofelcampello&neighbouringtowns (with 400 members at the time of publication) whereby she helps ladies to integrate into the area and feel welcome.
Tim and Martine love living in Busot and in particular highlight that it is so nice living in a town where you feel truly looked after by a great Mayor, there is such a great mix of nationalities, and there are so many cultural activities to join in with.
